As a small business owner and entrepreneur, you might always have that feeling of needing more money to grow. Grants can provide the funds needed to help you take your business to the next level. Using grants as a source of funding is appealing because it’s money you don’t have to pay back. The catch is that you have to write a grant proposal to apply and most grant opportunities are highly competitive.
Our friends at the Network for Entrepreneurs in Wilmington (NEW) worked with Jen McCall of UNC Wilmington and Seatox Research to put together a video of grant writing tips you can use to put together you next grant proposal.

This video from NEW is timely with NC IDEA‘s call for applications for their MICRO and SEED grant opportunities. Both grants are a great source of funding for young, growth-oriented companies.
The MICRO grant provides $10K in funding to startups looking to validate and advance their idea. The SEED grant provides $50K to early-stage startups in need of funding to scale faster. NC IDEA is taking applications for both grant opportunities starting January 31, 2022.
